Well I did, but now I LOVE IT! I know, wierd right? I guess it’s all about the tools we use. If we have something that works and makes it easier, then we can experience an attitude shift. I’m so grateful I stumbled upon Norwex. At the original party I held as a “favour” for my friend, she cleaned my oven. My 6 month pregnant consultant sprayed the Norwex oven and grill cleaner on my much baked upon oven, I think it was descibed as a “dream oven for demo’s”!! (I’ll try not to take offense!! haha) After a small amount of scrubbing with the spirinet, the baked on “cooking love” as I call it, just dissolved. No horrible smell, no scrubbing, no face masks, no falling over from the fumes, DONE! The wire racks silver once more, the glass like new.
On the weekend I consulted at a party where half the people were motivated to come because I was claiming I could clean the host’s oven with ease and only a small amount of effort! Well in the picture below you can see the result. It took ten minutes and LOTS of “oooooh’s and ahhhhh’s!!” 🙂
So I know that this isn’t a purely Norwex Post, but I had to share this yummy recipe with you and I thought the kitchen towel looked so stunning in the photo 🙂 My daughter Jessica needs to eat gluten free so I am always on the look out for and creating YUMMY treats for her and the family 🙂 Hope you enjoy it. And trust me you can’t “tell” it is gluten free!!
Triple Chocolate Chewy Gluten free biscuits
Makes Approximately 35
200g block dark chocolate
1 cup choc bits (a mix of white and milk)
1 ½ cup plain gluten free flour
½ cup unsweetened baking cocoa
½ teaspoon bicarb soda
¼ teaspoon sea salt
1 cup brown sugar
125 g butter softened
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, 160 degrees in using a fan forced oven.
Melt 150g of the dark chocolate block and cut up the remaining 50g.
In a food processor add the flour, cocoa, bicarb, salt and sugar. Process until all combined.
Add the butter and process on high until all combined.
Add the vanilla, melted chocolate and eggs. Process until it forms a lovely dough.
Slowly add in the dark chocolate and choc bits.
Line trays with baking paper and drop teaspoons of the mixture onto the paper. They do spread, so leave space in between.
Cook for 10-12 minutes, not too long as you will loose that soft centre. Leave on the baking paper to cool down.
Ok, so it’s a job I think everybody puts off. But we are renting and moving in a week so I can’t put off the cleaning of my venetians any longer!
I started cleaning with a damp enviro which worked, but just a bit bulky. Then I had a brainwave- the mini enviro’s! I wet them all and put them to action!
They made the job so much easier and much quicker too. Once they were dirty on both sides, I just went to the next one and then rinsed them all and started over! Yeah another use for the travel/mini enviro cloth!
Also an ADDED BONUS- it’s great for small hands.
So next time you clean give the kids one of these cloths so they can help! (or buy the very cute ones just for the kids!)
The end result…..
The mini enviro’s are GREAT- you can put them everywhere- your handbag, car, kitchen, bathroom & super good for little people’s hands- grab them here
Note: In late 2018 Norwex replaced the coloured 4 pack of Travel Enviro Cloths, with a pack of 5 in our more natural colour range (see below)
I’m a big believer in learning new things. Today it is web/blog design! I have started this journey into the blog world for a few reasons… so i can have a platform to share my insights into the products made by this amazing company, Norwex (I am learning so much on this journey!)
… so I can connect with my customers old and new
… to share ideas on Norwex, but also environmental eye openers I come across my path
… to increase awareness on simple and economical ways to clean, saving money and the environment.
But let me start by sharing my story…
I’m a mum to four beautiful children 8, 7, 4 and 3. I’m a wife to one fantastic man. I’m a consultant, and a fairly new one, selling amazing products from Norwex. I’m a friend, a daughter, a teacher. I’m me. I’m not a huge fan of cleaning, BUT I love this product! In Nov 2012 I hosted a party for a friend as a favour, as she was starting up as a consultant. I was given an amazing amount of free product from my party and couldn’t stop talking about this product that made cleaning so easy. And not only that it saved me money AND was good for the environment. So I spoke to everyone about this amazing mop that my children also loved, these cloths that just clean so well, that oven cleaner that a pregnant lady demonstrated and cleaned my oven like new. This spray and plastic like cloth that did wonders on my shower screens (note I HATE cleaning the shower!). So…. With a very small investment I started up my own business! I decided to become a consultant so I could earn products at a huge discount, earn commission and share this exciting product with others. So they too can save time, energy, the environment and money. Just like I am 😉
2019 Update! My kids are now 15, 13, 11 & 8 – and I am still learning new things and LOVING my Norwex journey! 🙂
Norwex saves you time, your health, your money & the environment. It will SURPRISE you with how amazing it is! Have a look around, learn something new & click on my shop if you would like to purchase or join my team!
